Anthology of a Revolution
Purpose: Identify revolutions that have happened throughout history and around the globe, discovery their common denominators, and speculate on the ability to predict a revolution in the making.
Procedure:
1. Each student will select a revolution from the list below:

2. Each student should prepare an oral presentation on their revolution by covering four topics: A. Demographic and geographic information about their country or regions. B. Reflections on "Take off Conditions" (See #3 Below). C. Major events in the life of the revolution D. The results of the revolutions a. Within the country and or regions b. Globally
3. Take off conditions: Economic Crisis Land inequality War Revolutionary control of the military Majority possessing a culture different than that of a minority Ruling class loses support of intellectuals Government does not serve the needs of the people Weak enforcement of law and order Revolutions of Rising Expectations (Taste of better things) Charismatic leadership Revolutionary control of communication
